The Ancestry and Family of the Children of Timothy Allen Provencio
Timothy Allen Provencio - 1976 - Fillmore, Ventura, CA

"The origin of the name Provencio is Spanish, from the
personal name Provencio, from a Latin derivative of provincia ‘province’." --Dictionary of American Family Names, Oxford University Press.
What you have found is my shared research on my quest to determine the ancestral history of my children. This includes the Provencio lineage of their father and the lineage of their mother. Because of that, you will find many lineages in the information here, for dozens of surnames. In addition, I sometimes research "wide" as to attract other individuals that may be searching "deep" so we can assist each other. Regardless of how you arrived here, "deep" or "wide", let us say "Welcome" and we're glad you stopped in, especially if we are related in some way!
Please Read This Very Important Notice: This is a
collection of my research! It is in no way authoritative and is
only here to collaborate with others to find potential common links.
You
should verify any information before assuming it is correct. I
welcome and greatly appreciate any corrections, suggestions,
hints, and suspicions.
May 2009 - BREAKING NEWS: We've added a new online online genealogy system that can be found here: http://genealogy.provencio.com/phpgedview/. We are using PHPGedView software for this (http://www.phpgedview.net/). After each update session using our main genealogy software, we push a new GEDCOM onto this site so this is the most recent research. Due to issues with identity theft and privacy, to view more recent data though (living relatives, etc.), you will need to register for an account. Without an account, older ancestry is complete and viewable, but more recent relations and link may not appear to be in place.
We primarily use (and recommended) Family Tree Legends software (which is frozen in time but still freely available), and have a GenCircles site found here. The GenCircles site is also still updated as I make changes, but these don't seem to be reflected in a timely manner and data can be a few days behind for some reason.
Note: This site also still contains an online family tree that was last updated back in 2006. A searchable, version of this project can be found here. The original one in question that is indexed in many popular search engines is found here.
Resources that may be of value to researchers
The following is a collection of things that I have obtained that may be of assistance to others researching similar lines, or even dissimilar lines. They also include little pieces of history for individuals we are either researching or have researched. Each entry will be preceded with the related surname. If it is from a known (as opposed to suspected) direct ancestor/relative of our children, we'll mark it with an asterisk.
